    Lola - my beloved/expensive cat

    The day at the vet:

As most of you know when you move states and you have a pet you must have all the vaccinations up to date as well as get them registered in the state. So I have a cat, who i love, and so when i moved I set up a appointment at the vet. However I live near a petsmart and that store has a clinic so i thought easy access. (If you live in rochester stay away from them. I think they ripped me off big time.)

So i took my cat there this morning and her temp was elevated because she was "stressed" with the move and the visit. So I had to sit in the little room with her for 15 minutes so she could "cool down". In which case she got more "stressed" and her temp went up even more. Finally they said "we will keep her here and let her cool down and see if we can do her vaccinations" (they had to wait until her temp went down.) So a couple hours later I get a call that they are all down and got the vaccinations in. what did i say "sweet!"

I picked her up took her home. left for 10 minutes and come back and she has vomited all over my apt and not looking good. the cat had an allergic reaction! so i went back to the vet where they had to give her a butt load of stuff and kept her until they closed. Now i have to stay up with her and make sure she eats and acts kinda normal.

Anyway over 300 dollars later. . . i think i should have taken her to my uncle farm house   (for those who know what i mean)

who knew a cats medical bills could be more than if i went in and got a vaccine. Hope it was worth it.

    Mayo Clinic

So if you have not yet heard or believe I just wanted to let everyone know that I was accepted into Mayo Clinic's Nuclear Medicine program. So that means that I will start there in the fall and it is a one year internship in Rochester Minnesota (yep going back to the roots or at least my Dads roots)

It is a super big deal (using my collegiate terminology) because they only take eight people each year and I am the only student from Ashford (the school I currently attend) who was accepted. Anyway, I can't wait to start this fall and move to a colder place than I am now . . .wait no I lied. . .I can't wait for spring and warm weather.

The only down fall, besides the cold, is that they do not want us to work up there for at least the first half of the year. It is because the work load is so demanding but the only problem with that is that I am not the richest girl in the world. I am still trying to find a job this summer so if anyone knows anything let me know. I know God will provide and all I can do is my best with his hand working through me.

    whats up with me

Well as most people put it. .  I have not posted in a while so I thought I should update everyone. . . So what is going on in my world? I don't even know. .  so much.

This last monday I had a interview at University of Iowa for the nuclear medicine internship. (Which is sweet because they only take 20 people for interviews.) I also have a interview at Mayo Clinic in MN on this next monday.  Both programs only take 10 people so cross your fingers and pray because I need all the help and prayer I can get.

So while I am not interviewing, I am trying to take care of my sick boyfriend (he has the flu right now), going to class and homework, and thinking about how to fit in work and sleep. oooohhhhh the days of college. . . got to love it.

hey just wanted to post to see if anyone else has read about this crazy accusation of a Senator suing God. Anyway its a little cazy and just wanted to share. read it . . . http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/09/nebraska-senato.html .

In my world though, I have just been trying to get by. working on making up school because I have been playing so much golf and trying to keep sane because of work. Thankfully, I finally have my first day off of golf, school (kinda), and work this Sunday. So I got a date and me and the boy are going out. I cant wait. I cant remember the last time that we spent the day going to church in the morning and then going on a nice date out at night.

Anyway got to get back to homework . . . (in the words of Ellen . . sad day)

So I have not updated in a while so I will try and be thorough but short.

The only major things are that I have turned 21 (for all of you who didn't know). I was planing on trying out alcohol this summer, because I haven't had the time with school and driving all the time to and from work. But those plans were crushed on Friday by my doctor. I guess I followed in my sisters footsteps and got Mono and he is all worried about my spleen and liver. So two weeks before finals and my doctor wanted to keep me home from school (hahahaha) and told me to slow down and sleep, not to drive, and to get checked once a week. All I can say is man this could not come at a worse time.

o well, life goes on and I only have about a week and a half left. Anyway, I also switched jobs at sweds from radiology assistant to a CT aide in the ER. Its fun and I am learning a lot more. I also get to play around with all the stupid people who don't ware helmets in motor cycle accidents. (its amazing how dumb people can be). Well I think thats all. . .  I will try to update better next time.
